Chez Toast or Toast Haus

Toast is the most from coast to coast - and this is his Blog! You'll be witness to various insignificant musings. Please take them all with a grain of salt... or curry.

So, the Superbow commercials pretty much stunk. The monkey one from careerbuilder.com was pretty good, and the Budwieser one with the soldiers walking through the airport and everyone clapping was awesome but the rest were pretty limp.

Paul McCartney was good in a plain white bread kinda way. It sure looked good in High Definition!

The highlight of the evening was my homemade Buffalo wings. I got the deep fryer out and had a field day. Boars Head Mustard got added to the recipe and really came out well. I still have not perfected french fries though. I can't seem to get them to be real crispy. I wonder if it's that they don't do well in peanut oil...

So, what's even worse than waiting for your stuff to get shipped to you and buying even more stuff while you wait? Forgetting that you ordered something months ago and then deciding that you don't need it (after you forgot you ordered it) and spending the money on something else, only to have it show up when you can't possibly pay for it...

I'm an idiot. With no short term memory.
I hate it when you order something from a website - in this case, Alibris Books, and it says it shipped on the same day as some of the other stuff I ordered from there, yet the other stuff got here a week ago and stuff I want has not shown up yet. Grrrr.

Cat still being picky.

My cat is sick... or just being picky as Hell. Which cats are want to do. The little bastard (Nuno - the one from Germany) has decided that he will be the most finicky cat on the planet about meals. He's losing weight. Vet did $200 bucks worth of blood work and still knows nothing. THis may sound bad, but I wish it was the other cat that was sick... Eddie. She's my aggressively affectionate female. Read "aggressively affectionate" to mean "PAIN IN MY ASS". She won't lie down, she won't settle, she never shuts up. Nuno is the complete opposite. He's cool. I'll be bummed if I lose him. He 13, which is not TOO old for a cat, but it ain't no spring chicken. If it weren't for the fact that Eddie is a pig, I'd leave food out all day long, different kinds and all. But, she'll eat everything that's edible and still whine for more. She's on a diet and it's killing him I think. Guess I need to leave food out. So what if she get's fat-er.
